Have You Been Seduced By The Dark Side.

Dear Secular Progressives, Most Marxists, Some Socialists, Lefty Liberals, and Contrary Conservatives:

This is addressed to those of you with whom I have had rather lively discussions and disagreements and those yet to spar.  Please know that I hold no animosity or ill will towards you, on the contrary I look at you guys as brothers and sisters in a large, loving and extremely-dysfunctional, family and you are in my prayers.

You may think: Has Conservabear mellowed or softened is she feeling a touch of guilt?  NOT BY A LONG SHOT.  I am still the same grouchy old bellowing bear I have always been and will remain that way.  My family is in agreement that I am an equal opportunity bellower just ask them.  I also have my good points.  When you figure them out get back to me.  Having said that I will now continue:

Some time has passed since I decided to add my bellowings to the legions of voices trying to be heard over the din of the yet other voices trying to be heard.  I have read the news; internet and paper, watched and listened to the talking heads on TV and radio, and read the blogs and comments on many sites.  I have come to many conclusions one of which may offend a certain group.  What group is that you may ask?  I will tell you it is the Secular Progressive View.  Yes once again I am about to show my bias and stick up for the Conservative View though not always right is more sound than Left

The Secular Progressive View:

1. You believe the USA is responsible for most of the worlds troubles.
2. You refuse to acknowledge or support the good we do or attempt to bring to other nations.
3. You do not understand the US is full of decent caring people, individuals, mind you who actually contribute and make a difference in peoples lives whether,  be it one person or many.
4. You have joined the accuse America bandwagon.
5. You may have Christian values but are very judgmental about things that require a more balanced approach.

If you want people to think about the consequences of one's actions that is one thing but to constantly drag your Country into the mud by promoting the godless and deluded is suspect.  There actually exist evil doers seeking to destroy us with their misguided, misconceptions and perceptions of a Holy, Just, Merciful, Forgiving, and Loving God.  Your alignment with our enemies does not help anyone see the light of Jesus.  Yes, there actually exists good people with a just heart.

Yes, you should pray for your enemies and you should pray God saves the souls of these people.  Pray God convicts these people and throws them from their horses as The Apostle Paul was thrown to the ground.

There will be those, however who will never see the light, they will turn away from the very truth that seeks to free them from bondage.  I assure you the road is indeed wide and filled with many who travel the road to perdition.  Narrow is the road with few who travel the road of righteousness.  I was one of these people who traveled the road to perdition. It was only by the grace and love of God that I found space on the narrow road. There are still challenges on that road. Challenges that must be overcome.  You see folks I am a person who is really imperfect and I must battle the destructive demons in my own head daily.   I have paid dearly for the destructive thoughts and actions in my own life and would not wish anyone the tortures I have inflicted upon myself due to my own misguided perceptions.  Praise God there are actually days when I can think uplifting thoughts and apply them to my life.

My challenge to you sir:  Pray for your leaders.  "For the Heart of the King is in the Hand of The Lord."
My mother always said,   "Do not be so eager for the day to come when you get a new boss.  You may get one who is worse"  My Mom was correct.  There were very few bosses, that I could respect or that I deemed fair.

Yes,  America makes mistakes and we are imperfect but if not for the good and the God fearing, the moral and the just, the kind and the loving, the productive hard working ethical, regular Jane and Joe who make up this country we would not be in the place to help other nations, other people who are most grateful for our help, who desperately need our help.

To conclude: Don't be so quick to crucify America, pray for her, and act according to the goodness and generosity of your heart.

"God Bless America ... Stand Beside Her and Guide Her..." AMEN

 Sincerely,

Conservabear

Gas Price Protest at NRCC Website!

Got an email from NRCC yesterday,

My thought was:  Like dudes where have you been??  - Asleep at the wheel no doubt - Wakey Wakey

Go to NRCC website http://www.nrcc.org/  or click this link:  http://www.gaspriceprotest.com/?g=5%20%20

Read the protest:  Sign the Petition and Vent.

Well, they did not need to ask me a second time.   I signed the petition and when they said vent, I was OHHHH so willing to oblige them.

Not only did I give them a piece of my mind (frankly i am surprised i have any mind left), but our dog joined the fray with a litany of barks.

God Help Us.

Yes, I Was Once A Liberal!!

My views have since changed.  I was born a liberal but then don't all babies emerge from the womb with that inclination.  As a teenager I wrote poetry; took trumpet lessons (don't ask) and volunteered for all sorts of causes, from The United Farm Workers to the Audubon Society.  Now this doesn't necessarily shout liberal but I was beginning to think the world revolved around me that the world owed me and so I became jaded and cynical.  I could see, I needed to change. Gradually, I went through a metamorphosis.  I could see that in actuality many of my views were more conservative in nature.  I am pro- Jesus - in all His teachings; the whole died for my sins; resurrection; eternal life and reaching out to others; which needs lots 'o' work deal; pro-life; small government; no income tax; individual responsibility for my happiness; balanced budget; etc.  It doesn't mean that I don't have my causes but they are a little more realistic in my expectations a little more tempered if you will.  As long as I remain alive on this very imperfect planet of ours I will need forgiveness, growth and human outreach.  I am not perfect, just ask my husband and the dog.

My Philosophy on Political Philosophy

The philosophy of true socialism, where the government controls the distribution of property and income (thus keeping all things "equal"),  http://www.econlib.org/LIBRARY/Enc/Socialism.html, and Heilbroner, Robert, "Socialism", The Concise Encyclopedia of Economics , and democracy, where the individual controls their own property and income http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/whatsdem/whatdm2.htm , should work in theory in a perfect society but humans being human do not always act in theory, or logically, or in another's best interests.  (Personally, I believe we have an amalgam of  Democracy, Republic and now Socialism is gaining more ground.

Socialism as I have seen practiced, (through leveling the playing field), ensuring that everyone gets their fair share does not allow for competition nor for disent perhaps I am confusing socialism with communism.  If I am in error please clarify.

To further illustrate Lets look at the histories of Russia, China, and Cuba, these countries went from volatility to volatility, from revolution to revolution until the very thing that they were trying to overcome, oppression of the people flourished more robustly than before.

The problem really begins when people anxious for solutions, out of desperation, elect people who say the right things but in reality are seeking thier own agendas and have no concern for the people who put them in office.  What then gets into office is worse than what left office. Somehow the wrong people get elected and what ensues is not pretty.  I am not saying socialism, liberalism or conservativism are inherently wrong in thier tenents, theories and convictions, it is the practices of these political philosophies that need to be adjusted to best accomodate the society involved, enabling that society to be free, competitive, productive and constantly growing, while perserving those aspects that make each country unique.  The problem with some of the liberals that have been elected to congress is that they are attempting to introduce socialism into our constitution. (We are a republic already!!) http://www.syninfo.com/Responsibility/repdif.html  in a big, big, way.  I have heard that certain legislators consider themselves to be socialists.  It is fine, if one is a socialist, to admit one is a socialist, but please don't call yourself a liberal or a conservative if your agenda is to be something else, and don't expect those of us who don't want to live under socialism to allow our country to turn into a socialistic country.  We will do all in our power to ensure that our republic continues.

Finally:  " We the People" need to do more research before electing a candidate.  Compare thier views and records.  Compare all possible scenarios, then make one's choice.   Keep in mind that once one votes, one must be prepared to live with one's choice.  Remember, we get the government we deserve.

In Memory of Dado, A Thank You To All Our Armed Forces

To All of Our U. S. Military Personnel and My Dado:  An Eternal Thank You,

God Bless you all and keep you in His constant care. We are praying for you and hoping that God intervenes and stops the evil that is invading every corner of the world. That He changes the hearts of men who once hated each other to now live in peace. We are deeply grateful for everything you have done in the name of peace and liberty for giving up your lives your health and your freedoms so that others may be free. War is never an easy choice. From the old testament to the new and beyond, men, women and children gave their lives to pursue righteousness, freedom and peace for Gods people. This is the nature of this world. This is what you are doing now for us. Gods gift to us is faith, freedom, peace, joy and love. We must never lose sight of these gifts. We must cherish them, defend and honor them. Less we also lose our freedoms. I need to share a little about my Dad.

My Dad was a WWII vet. He died 3 years ago just a couple of weeks after his 80th Birthday. He was a simple man who loved a good cup of coffee, a good meal, the newspaper, the Phillies, Eagles and the Nightly Local News. He did not ask for much from life just a little peace and quiet. Don't get me wrong he was no saint few people are but he was still my Dado and I miss talking to him. Whenever I watch an Oliver North War Story on Fox, I think of how I would have liked to have talked more about his recollections of the war. I would have liked to have written his memoirs. Sometimes I catch myself forgetting he is not still with us. I think to myself let me call Dado he would know. I then I remember Dad is gone. I remember at my wedding he cried as we danced telling me how much he loved me and saying I was still his little girl and how proud he was of me. I miss dad, he did not die in war but at home suddenly quietly after a lengthy illness. He was found by my poor ailing long suffering Mom. Dying at home does not lessen his service to his country and he is still gone. There is no solace for the loss of a loved one only prayer and memories can help ease the pain. I had my Dado around for a long time and I am thankful for that. How much more painful is it for parents how have lost a son or daughter in the budding flower of youth on the battlefield. Wives or husbands who have lost a spouse, sisters and brothers who have lost a sibling. The list grows. I can't even begin to imagine the pain. The loss of a child or any loved one is hard enough but in service of a country it is especially difficult. There is the knowledge that the loved one went of their own free will and they knew the danger. There is the sad pride and appreciation in the courage of the soldier but it does not bring back that person. It does not replace the engaging smile, the friendly handshake, the warm embrace the welcome voice. We do not fully appreciate a person until they are gone. Then the gravity of the loss hits us like a freight train. The memories flood our brain cells and the grieving begins. If you have lost a loved one in service to ones country grieve, mourn, cry, scream if you have to but remember them, let the warm memories bathe your being in its healing embrace.  If your loved one is at home on leave or overseas never stop loving them show that love always, pray for them. write them, talk to them. Our service people are very courageous, brave, and human in a land where people who have been oppressed and afraid for so long are now beginning to see the light of liberty and they need to hear that you love and appreciate them. That you are praying daily for their safety. That their service is not in vain. God Bless all of our service people and those people not of our country who are and have been an aid and a blessing to them Amen.

Venus Aliens Abduct Conservative Leaders!!

My Fellow Americans,

It is evident to me that our true Conservative Leaders the ones who would stand-up for what is right, the ones who desire our support, our votes and our rapidly dwindling financial contributions, have been abducted by Illegal Aliens from Venus (whose leader is Al Gore) and are being imprisoned in a Lock-Box.  It appears that the remnants of our Conservative Leaders lack the Golden Stones necessary to properly defend U.S. the American People against the onslaught of radical, left-wing, progressive, unwarranted, Marxist, accusations hurled at US by the Democrat Party, and their greatest representative, Senator Obama.  I ask again : Where are our Conservative Leaders?  We need people who aren't afraid to say the truth, and to do the moral and ethical work, to push through bills that are logical and sound and would benefit the USA.  Someone must here me somewhere.  Help Us Please!  Where are y ou folks hiding? One might ask: "Bear what gives, why so angry?"  Why so UN-trusting ? To these questions, I would have to answer.  I am sick to death of being blamed for the ills of the world.  I am tired of hearing; We don't do enough to help our fellow man.   We use too much energy.  We eat too much.   We Poop too much.   I say Bull-patties!!  Listen folks if the jack-asses that run these various developing nations and third world countries don't have the intelligence, humanity, compassion or moral fiber to help their own people.  What makes one think that we can do any better especially when there are evil dictators who don't want our help in fact these people want US and Israel dead and trust me we are all lumped together on this verdict.  When does it stop?  Mr. Obama I am tired of this.  Quit your d--- whining.  We use fluorescent lighting and it hurts my eyes and interferes with my radio.  We don't drive an SUV, a VCR or a BVD.  We recycle. We freeze in the winter and roast in the summer.  We don't go away for vacations.  We can't afford the gas, the taxes the medical co-pays and the charities. What the h--- more do you want? -  Our blood, well we can't give you that as we are not physically able our blood pressures are too high so the Red Cross said see ya.  How about Mr. Obama you stop trying to figure out how to reason with vipers and sit down with US and tell us how to get more oil out of the our country.   Get this Mr "O" you can't reason with bullies they should be wiped off the face of the earth and I should know bullies endangered my life when I went to a Catholic Grade School no less.  There was a she-devil child in 2nd to 4th grades who used to stab my hands and my arms with a fountain pen until I almost got tetanus.  Was there reasoning with this hag?  I tried and so did my mother.   Give her another chance.  No I said. She should have been thrown into the fires of Hades.  Hopefully today she has changed.  But I don't know and I don't care.   The only time you give people like these the time of day is when they repent of their sins, ask forgiveness, ask Jesus etc. and even then you verify.

The Bear's Energy Boycott

Here is my energy protest:  No leisure travel for a weekend!  This is by Choice (It is not mandatory like No Prayer in School or Removing Huck Finn from the Required School Reading Program)  again it is by choice however the more people we have the greater the impact.   Let's pick a weekend that will cause the greatest loss of money and heartburn to the travel and transportation industries.  Hmmmmm, I know,  Memorial Day Weekend; this particular weekend might get the Powers that Be to take note that they are not allowed to E-Screw With Us Anymore!!  If we boycott all leisure travel for just the Mem-Day Weekend maybe someone with some intelligence and some golden stones will decide that they have located a place in the Good Old USA where them there whiney Environmentalists and other Progressive-Liberals won't mind if we drill just a bit for some oil.   Then we can use the grains for thier intended purpose: food and booze!!  Let's here it for food and booze everyone!!   How's come BarBama didn't add that we (bitter people) are also Clinging to our bourbon as well as our Religion and our guns.  And how about that whoosie Congress of ours they are soooo afraid of offending someone (you guys should get some golden ones as well).   Well as you can see I have become even more cynical and sarcastic in the last few weeks.  Mrs Obama you ain't got nothin' on me sugar.  I have had more practice and my cycnicism is aged like fine wine.  the stupider The Government gets the more cynical I get.   I could give a rodents gluteus who the heck I offend anymore, because I have discovered that for Some People even the mere act of breathing is offensive (just ask them goofy Global Warming Morons).  Well I do digress.  Here is my plan:  except for necessities a majority of us will not travel!!  This anti-travel proposal includes but is not limited to all artificial energy consumming modes of transport ie; 1,2,3 or 4 wheeled vehicals, trains, planes, boats, space ship anything that uses fuel or electricity.    Exceptions to this proposal: all self or animal propelled transportation walking, roller skating, skis, manual bicycles, tricycles, quadcycles, swimming, rowboats you get the idea travel by animal is permissable as long as the animals are cared for properly, such animals may include, Jackasses (hook-up some members of Congress to your wagon that should do it), Oxen, Horses, large Great Danes and Saint Bernards.   I do Not recommend small dogs such as Dachshunds and Bichon Frieses (though with careful training some sled pulling Bichons can pull 10 times there own weight).  Never mind, back to the plan:  No filling up the SUVs, the RVs, the ATVs, the MTVs, or the BVDs.
Folks should consider shopping in advance unless it is for emergencies.   Again, don't be an idiot if travel involves going to the Doctors, the Hospitals, Funerals visiting your Mom or other important person in your life especially the little kiddies they don't need to be deprived after all if it is a choice between traveling and your sanity, than by all means go with my blessing there are enough of us in the country maybe the world who would be glad for the excuse not to travel anywhere especially you husbands out there with that mother-in-law heartburn most of you mysteriously contract.
Well are some of you sufficiently tick-ed off at me yet??  I do hope so because then I have done my job.  Will my plan work?  Who knows!!  Maybe we will then need to spring to plan B.  A whole week of no traveling, maybe a month, maybe a whole year.  Saddle-up your Great Pyrenees folks it's going to be a ponderous ride!

Just an Average Jane Crying in the Wilderness!!

I have just received a rude awakening.  It appears that no one appears to be interested in what I have to say.  Not my dumb jokes repeated second hand or my e-mails or even my blogs.   Perhaps I have always subconsciously acknowledged this fact and only now has this realization of my virtual insignificance emerged to my frontal lobe.  I, like most Americans feel "unimportant" just a mediocre, run of the mill average Jane; only my name ain't Jane.  Perhaps I am feeling sorry for myself or perhaps I have missed a dose of my meds.   In an event,  I feel I am drifting in the wind waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence.   Hello, I am One of Many Crying in The Wilderness Please Hear Me.  We are going to Hades in a Hand-Basket.   There are many things bothering me at this time from the Global Warming Hoopla to our selling of the U. S. piecemeal to any country who would have U.S.  I am tired of the political bickering, the pitting of one Presidential candidate over the other.   Somebody, please when you are elected don't expect me to foot the bill or take the blame for the our countries ills.  How about you and congress open your wallets and dole.  My wallet has moths in it from all the taxes I am paying, for programs I don't want.  I am tired of the talking heads who try to one-up each other as to who can be the most right and who can say the nastiest thing about each other.  I am tired of being made to feel responsible for things that happened in this country centuries or even years before I was born.  I am not responsible for the ills that have befallen mankind since mankind's creation by God, Yes,  I dare to say.   I am not responsible for the evils of slavery that occurred in this country.   I am appalled that it happened and I am Thankful to God that slavery does not exist in this country today.   I am not responsible for the Titanic sinking, even though I was born on that date.  Also, Lincoln died and it is income-tax day.  I think there are a few more calamities that happened that day and again I am not responsible for them.  I am responsible for my own stupidity, my own hurtful words my own hurtful actons toward any human and for these, I apologize and for the tone that I use to say them; my own wrong decisions not everyone else's.  I am just so tired that I am going to take a moratorium from listening to yapping humans either on TV or on the radio.  I think I will resume listening to instrumental music No Words just Music and hope that I do not miss the mushroom cloud announcement in time to get my family and the dog into the nearest fallout shelter.   Well It just goes to show me that even when the Hubby and the Dog don't appear to be listening,  there is always God and my journal.  Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day; a day that someone will listen or read what I have to say or just call to say hello.
PS; I Am Not Responsible for Global Warming just ask the Volcanoes and that aging Sun we orbit.

Pillar of Fire

While watching this horrendous fire in California on ABC tonight I am reminded of the God's Pillar of fire in Exodus.  Why?  You may ask .   The heat and wind generated in the midst of this ferocious fire causes a fire tornado to spin violently from the ground to the sky it is both incredible and sad.   I ask God why these things happen why such horrible things happen to His creation it is beyond my comprehension and then I realize that we are surrounded by a constantly changing universe.  We live on a planet, where floods and fires can exist just a few thousand miles apart and yet other parts of the planet seemingly unscathed.     I understand that adversity can happen at any time in any plane and I am sobered.   It doesn't matter what walk of life, how rich or how poor calamity claims us all at one time or another and when it rears its head we are frequently caught unawares no matter how well we prepare.  It is at this time that we may discover the ability to put ourselves in someone else's shoes.  We find within our very souls that love that God has given us and that desire to help another human being in whatever capacity.  Helping someone doesn't need to be grandiose or large it can be small or medium, it can be huge from saving a life, helping the children, donating time, money, shelter, handing out water, or taking care of someone's pets or livestock.   However, we are called to assist, I should like to believe that we will respond out of love and because we Americans are like that.  We help each other.
God Bless and Keep us Always.

Giving Thanks

Well folks this is my first foray into the wonderfully misunderstood world of  blogging.  Please pray that I may say something beneficial. Now for my first thought.  Thanksgiving is quickly approaching.  Do we really know for what and how we are truly thankful?  Do we truly know how to give thanks.  In all we do, we need to give thanks, and be appreciative to God and to each other for all things, even the not so good things that may happen for it is when those not so good things that happen that God works wonders.  It is easy to be happy when good things happen however, when one can be happy in the midst of adversity that is a person I want to meet.  That is a person that truly knows God's saving grace.  That is a person who knows joy, and peace,  real, heaven sent joy not just the fleeting high of happiness for we are never truly totally happy.  I am sure if left to our own devices we could find something to be unhappy about but joy that is another thing was it the apostle James or was it John that said count it all joy my brothers and sisters when you undergo trials and tribulations?  If I am mistaken please let me know.  I do need to keep my Bible handy.
At this moment there are many people who have lost their homes in fire and floods.  Keep them in your prayers. I will be back with more insights a little later.
